The San Diego Stars Baseball Academy Youth Program is built on a simple yet powerful philosophy: developing young athletes into skilled, disciplined, and confident players who excel both on and off the field.

Our academy fosters a supportive and competitive environment where players learn fundamental techniques, advanced strategies, and essential life skills that prepare them for high school baseball, college scholarships, and beyond.

Age Groups & Levels

We offer specialized training for different age groups, ensuring players learn at a pace that matches their current skill level while preparing them for the next step in their baseball journey.

  • 10U – Skill Building Level: Development of core baseball techniques, including proper batting mechanics, defensive positioning, and situational awareness. Players begin competing in local leagues and tournaments.
  • 11u - Developmental Accelerator: Training intensifies with deeper skill refinement, increased gameplay awareness, and early exposure to advanced drills. Athletes start to build consistency and confidence in preparation for higher levels of competition.
  • 12U – Advanced Training Level: Increased focus on strategy, agility, strength conditioning, and mechanics refinement. Athletes start preparing for high school-level play.

As players progress through these age groups, they receive individualized coaching to improve their strengths and overcome weaknesses.

Training & Development

Our elite training system is tailored to maximize player growth, refine technical skills, and build athletic strength.

​Core Training Areas:

  • Hitting: Mechanics, bat speed, stance optimization, and power generation.
  • Pitching: Velocity training, accuracy, arm care, and breaking ball development.
  • Fielding: Proper footwork, glove control, reaction time, and defensive strategies.
  • Base Running: Speed drills, explosive movement, and reading plays effectively.
  • Strength & Conditioning: Injury prevention, mobility work, and baseball-specific agility exercises.
  • Mental Training: Focus, confidence-building, game awareness, and decision-making under pressure.

Through advanced video analysis, real-time feedback, and structured drills, we help players fine-tune their mechanics and develop the skills needed to succeed at higher levels.

Schedules

Our training schedule is designed to balance consistency, competitive readiness, and individualized development across all age levels.

Practice Sessions:

  • Weekday Practice (1x/week) – Focused skill development
  • Weekend Practice (1x/week) – Team drills, live reps, and scrimmage work

Competitive Play:

  • Tournaments (1–2 per month) – Local and regional events for game experience and evaluation

Supplemental Development:

  • Extra Training Program – Optional sessions and clinics throughout the month for athletes seeking accelerated growth
